Concordia and the WNY Quack Quest Duck Hunt
Historic Concordia Cemetery was excited to take part in the WNY Quack Quest, a county-wide scavenger hunt celebrating the return of the World’s Largest Rubber Duck to Buffalo over the July 4th weekend.
The event featured 10 historic sites across Western New York, each hosting a uniquely themed duck. Participants traveled from site to site, searching for the hidden ducks and collecting stamps on their Quack Quest cards. Once completed, the cards could be turned in for a special commemorative America 250 duck—a memorable keepsake of this community-wide celebration.
At Concordia, visitors were welcomed by our spirited “poultrygeist” duck—a playful ghostly figure that added a touch of humor and charm to the experience. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about the rich history of Historic Concordia Cemetery and the many stories of those who rest here.
