The Fellowship of the Dig: A Successful Day of Restoration

On Saturday, September 13, our dedicated volunteer team—“The Fellowship of the Dig”—came together for a special workday at Historic Concordia Cemetery. With the help of our brand-new winch and tripod system, we were able to safely and carefully raise 11 toppled headstones.

This important new equipment was made possible entirely through the generous donations of supporters who believe in preserving the history and dignity of Concordia. Your contributions have given us the tools to continue this vital work, one stone at a time.

Each marker we restore is more than just a piece of stone—it’s a name, a story, and a piece of our shared heritage. Thanks to our volunteers’ hard work and the community’s support, Concordia Cemetery continues to stand as a place of remembrance, respect, and history.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered, and cheered us on. Together, we are preserving the past for generations to come.
